After being in the military for many years coming to/from overseas, we had never had to ship a car on our own. But when our son decided to join the Air Force, his move was within the US and the Government won't pay for that. So off looking for car shippers we went.
I had quick replies to my quote request from several companies. But Doug Johnson from Red Carpet Auto Transport really impressed me. He seemed quite knowledgeable, was very responsive to my never-ending questions, and was just downright nice - particularly compared to another company with whom I spoke and would never do business with as the guy was pure negativity.
Doug was a bit concerned about where we needed to ship the car (Vandenberg AFB in Lompoc CA) because of the windy roads. But before we knew it, we had a phone call from Leon Brooks with Brooks Transportation based in CA. He was in the area and ready to take the car the next day! And what a great guy *he* was!
We really lucked out in our dealings with both of these gentlemen. If we ever need to ship a car again we now know exactly who to contact!
