TERRIBLE delivery service! Would not use again. BAD communication and NO follow-up service.

Everything started off great. Communication was good at first and friendly, but then things went south.

I was unable to provide COD to currier at time of delivery due to bank having to write a certified check. I notified Barbara of my circumstances and she said that it wouldn't be a problem, but her company would have to charge a 5% accounting fee and they would handle all payments to currier. I agreed with no problems.

I get a call about 5 business days later. Barbara calls and says that she has a currier, but they want an additional $80 for fuel surcharge and could have the car delivered in three days. I declined. I found this to be a little suspicious and very unprofessional.

About 5 days later I receive a call out of the blue from the currier asking where I would like the car delivered. I was completely unaware of the currier even picking up the car from the original location, and no courtesy email or call from Red Carpet Transport as to transaction even happening. As far as I knew, so random company had my car on its trailer.

I called Red Carpet Transport to inquire as to what was going on. They responded by saying that I should have be notified, "sorry". When I agreed to use Red Carpet Transport, I was reassured that they would be in complete communication with me throughout each stage of the deliver from prior notification of pick-up, to pick-up, to final delivery. This was not the case at all.

The currier delivered the car the next day with no additional circumstances. They were VERY friendly and courteous. The car looked fantastic.

Finally, the driver asked me for the final COD that was to be given to him. I told him that I had made arrangements with Red Carpet Transport to take care of his payment and that they had charged me an additional 5% to do so. He was completely furious because this was the second time this company had done this to him within the last month. We then called Red Carpet Transport and they had absolutely no record of the additional fee added at first. I spoke with the lady on phone and explained the amount that I had sent to them. After a few minutes of arguing with her, she miraculously found my paperwork and reconciled. They said they would send the check to currier.

It has now been about 2 weeks since beginning of transaction and nobody has contacted me from Red Carpet Transport to ask how my experience was or follow-up to ask if I had even received my car yet. So much for that good communication thing that I was promised at beginning of this whole ordeal.

Overall, I am completely DISSATISFIED with this company and would HIGHLY recommend others from choosing their service. From my experience, they made false claims in the service they provide. I'm completely astonished by the ratings they have on this site.

The currier was Danny's Auto Transport out of MI and would highly recommend them! Thank you.

We have to say we MOSTLY disagree with this review. Mr. Flint placed his order on 2/23/08 and requested that we accept his full payment due to special circumstances. We did this as we do try diligently to work with each and every one of our custmers who have special needs. He told us his vehicle was available for pick up as of 2/27/2008. We posted his load and our dispatch department went to work on finding a carrier for him. We received a call back from a carrier who wanted an additional $80.00 to transport it for him. We never take it upon our selves to make a decision for our customers but alway call them to let them know what is happening and give them the option of accepting to pay the additional amount or not. This is not suspicious nor is it unprofessional. Mr. Flint declined this offer from this particular carrier so we went back to work to find another carrier who would take it for the quoted amount. On 3/3/08 Dannys Auto Transport called and accepted the load for the quoted amount. Once it was assigned to be picked up on 3/4/08 we called the customer and received no answer nor did he return our calls. Our system automatically sends out a dispatch notice to the customer when it is assigned. To be honest we do not know why he did not receive this but we did look into the history of his order and our system shows it as being sent. Some times emails get lost in cyberspace and we do not know how to fix this as it something we all have to live with in this day and age. Mr. Flint called us on 3/4/08 and asked us why he had not been informed that his vehicle had been assigned to a carrier. I personally apologized over this matter and informed him I would check into it but provided him with the information verbally over the phone. His vehicle was picked up and delivered the very next day. It typically takes any where from 1-10 days to get a vehicle assigned to a carrier once it is available for pick up then it is in transit anywhere from 1-14 days depenidng on how far it is going. Mr. Flint's vehicle was not only dispatched but was delivered to him in 8 days from the day it was available. As for the payment issue to the driver. We did make an error in sending out the trip sheet to our carrier as a COD verses a pre-pay. When we were informed of our error we sent payment right out to the carrier and took care of the matter. Mr. Flints PAE was not in the office at the time of the delivery so the dispatch supervisor looked into the issue and apologized over the misunderstaning. We go out of our way to provide the 5 Star service we are known for. We apologize Mr. Flint feels he did not receive this from us. It would have been very helpful if he had answered our calls to him or at least returned them. We will in the future do our best to not repeat this error. We work hard each and everyday for our customers and go out of our way to help them in any and all issues in regards to their transport. I have to say once again we do NOT feel that this review is accurate from Mr. Flint in regards to his transport.
