This was my first auto transport experience and I was very nervous after reading all the horror stories out there about less than truthful agents and shippers, damaged cars, stolen deposits, and 3-4 week shipping processes. After receiving a reasonable quote from Cherie Barth at Red Carpet, I looked them up on this site and found that they were very highly rated, and I liked the reviews that were written. They sounded like someone I could trust to transport my 1988 Porsche Turbo with only 46K miles on it with care. Be sure to compare quotes carefully...Red Carpet's price included door-to-door service and insurance with no deductable. A lot of the "others" quote depot-to-depot shipment and charge a lot more for door-to-door ($400 more in my case), and they charge more ($150) for insurance which is usually $250-$500 deductable. I talked to Cherie on the phone and she answered all my questions accurately and professionally and assured me that I could trust them with my car. I placed my order on Thursday Nov. 29 and I received a message the next day that my car would be picked up on Monday Dec. 3 and would be delivered by Friday Dec. 7. The car was picked up Monday morning by a very courteous driver (Curtis) who took great care in loading the car on the trailer. Amazingly, my car was delivered to my door 2 days later (today) in the same condition it was in when it left NM. Cherie, Curtis, and the people at Red Carpet are awesome! Every aspect of this operation went exactly as planned and promised. Don't risk transporting your car with anyone else, when you can have the best service for a reasonable price with Red Carpet.
