Based on my first experience with Denise from Red Carpet Auto Transport in shipping a car from Oakland, CA to Albany, NY, I decided to use them to ship a second car. The second shipment was from Oakland, CA to Providence, RI, and this time my direct contact at Red Carpet was actually Tony Quinn. As expected, Tony was very friendly and helpful. My pickup date ended up being 3 days after my 'first available date', but the timing on the weekend ended up being very convenient. The driver from CAA Transport met me a block away from my house, loaded the car onto a small carrier, and explained to me that it would be transferred to a larger truck in Los Angeles before heading east. In spite of this transfer, the car was actually delivered to RI in only 5 days and was (amazingly) as clean as the day that it was picked up. Red Carpet service was smooth enough for me to recommend them to other colleagues who will be moving from California to other states. I would definitely use them again if I need to ship another car in the future, and I would recommend this company to my friends and family as well.
