Passport Transport

We used Passport Transport ~4 yrs years ago when they were associated with Fed Ex (Fed Ex has since gotten out of the auto-transport biz) and had no issues with them moving two sports cars for us. However, when I needed to move the cars again (now 3...), I choose to shop around for a less expensive price because the move was shorter and I wasn't as concerned about having an enclosed transport. I placed a deposit with another company and was given a 4-day pick up window that would accommodate our schedule prior to us having to leave town. This was very important to us since we were hoping not to have to ask any friends / neighbors to take off work to stand in our place after we had left town, just to watch the cars get loaded.
Our window approached and I had heard nothing, so I called the other company. Was told she'd get back to me. She didn't, so I called again the next day (Friday...we were hoping to leave Saturday, but could wait as long as Monday if needed). Was told I should know something by the end of the day. Again, nothing. Called both Sat / Sun trying to figure out if we should just leave and start making other plans for pickup....still no response. We were sitting in an empty house, with 3 dogs and a parrot in a small carrier, waiting SOLELY to leave to our new home, on this pickup...with no response. Called again on Monday, the final day of our needed window, and was told they had no driver lined up. Was told we would get a refund on our deposit.....it's been 10 days and counting...
At this point, I called PASSPORT TRANSPORT back (had a prior quote), made arrangements with friends to help with pickup, and everything started to roll!! Communication with the driver was EXCELLENT...both phone calls and texts....and he also coordinated with our friends to keep them in the loop as well. Pick up was when expected (slight delay due to Seattle traffic, but the driver kept in contact), as was delivery. All three cars (Corvette, Mustang Cobra, and a Mazda Speed3) arrived when promised and we knew exactly where he was in transit. No issues, no damage. Yes, the price was significantly higher than the first quote....but clearly, I got what I paid for! I know we'll need transport services again, and the next time there will be no doubt that I will use Passport Transport again!
