Orbit Auto Transport was the worst experience I have had with a transport company. From the first moment I spoke with them there was absolutely no customer service. I went through Suncoast Auto as my broker, they had A- on BBB and they assigned me to Orbit Transport. I wish I would have thought to look up Orbits BBB rating before accepting them as my truck carrier, which incidentally is an F. I shipped my vehichle from Hawaii to North Carolina. Once my vehicle was assigned by Suncoast to Orbit transport I was contacted by a very rude and gruffly speaking representative from Orbit Transport to have my vehicle at the Honolulu port by the 27th so my vehicle would be available by the 12th Dec 2012 for pick up in LA to be delivered between the 18th and 21 Dec 2012. The rude representative should have been my 1st Clue.
Once I arrived to NC. I checked with Matson online tracking system which told me my vehicle was in LA and was available for pickup on the 12th of Dec 2012. I contacted Suncoast auto on the 18 Dec to track my vehicle and figure out when my vehicle would be delivered. They patched me through to Orbit transport who told me that my vehicle had not been picked up until the 13 Dec 2012 because Matson had not made it available, which was a lie. They also told me my vehicle had not left LA yet because the transport vehicle was overweight and had to take my vehicle off and then there was a vehicle breakdown which put my vehicle delivery further behind. I was then informed by Suncoast that they should have contacted me to see if I wanted a new courier because of the breakdown. Which made my new drop off date the 27 Dec 2012 because they did not want there drivers to have to travel during the holiday.
Contacted Suncoast on 26th because heard nothing from Orbit. They could not get in contact with Orbit from 26 Dec - 2 Jan 2013 because they decided to take the holidays off but not leave any message of such. Once Suncoast got in touch with them on the 2nd they told them my vehicle would be to me by the 3rd or 4th of Jan Suncoast did get me a discount off $200 off. Called on the 4th because no vehicle they said Saturday. No vehicle. Could not contact because they are closed on weekend. Finally, I was contacted by the Driver on Sunday the 6th telling they would there Monday 7 Jan 13 between 9am and 12pm. The driver did no know that the price was reduced so he got screwed too. He said he was not contacted until the 27th for pickup and he lost money because they did not let him know about the reduction.
