Do not use Officail Auto Transport no matter what they promise. I booked my Hummer H2 for transport and paid the $150 deposit on January 28th for a March 26th move date. I called a couple of weeks before the scheduled pickup to make sure I was scheduled and they assured me everything was all set. I didn't hear from them again, so on March 25th I called to make sure someone was going to contact me and they acted as if they forgot about my order. They said that they would call me back. They didn't, so I called Andy Streeter again the next day and he said he was still working on it. 2 days later nothing had been scheduled and everytime I had to call them to check the status. Their follow up is terrible. On March 28th Andy told me that there was a driver's strike (which I confirmed with other transport companies that it was not true) and that since the price of diesel had gone up he couldn't move the vehicle unless I paid more. He said he could get it moved if I paid an "expedited" price of $1,500 otherwise he could only deliver the vehicle to within 250 miles of my final destination. I told him that he should pay the difference since he dropped the ball and we had a contract. I was flying my family up to Maryland to meet the car and the tickets cost me $2,000 which was non-refundable so I had to get my car moved. I placed a call to Transport Services Saturday afternoon (March 29th) and in 15 minutes they found a transport to take my vehicle on Sunday morning! I didn't have a choice but to pay this huge sum of money to get my vehicle shipped. I have informed Andy that our legal counsel will be filing suit again Offical Auto Transport if he doesn't pay the $900 difference. I may or may not win the case but it will definitely cost him at least $900 to fight it. Do yourself a favor and do not use Offical Auto Transport. They are not a company that understands customer service.
