Noble Auto Carriers
Review made Live: 1/11/2013 3:02:00 PM
They said the pick-up was possible on 23rd night or 24th before 2pm-ish, which was my preferred date. 24th comes around and still no call, so I call the Noble Auto and find out that my car cannot be picked up on the days I requested (which was a little inconvenient, but no problem). I just thought they should have called a little earlier to inform me when they found that 23rd or 24th they said would be okay was actually not going to work out.
When I called the driver (independent from Noble Auto) for information on transportation schedule, he said that the car will be picked up on the 29th, but will start driving on the 2nd of next month, so the delivery will be around the 4th. I appreciated that I am being informed on transportation schedule.
The delivery date approaches, and the driver calls me and says I am supposed to pay him $500. According to what I discussed with the Nobel auto, $425 was due at delivery. After making a few calls, I get a hold of Nobel auto. The staff tells me to just pay the driver $500 first and she’ll look into it. I pay the $500 because I needed my car back. I wait for a few days for Noble Auto to actually get back to me on this. No call back, so I call them again. This time, they tell me that the price discussed was a quote, not the final price. My personal opinion is that if they could not find the driver with the price they offered me, they should have explained that to me when they found a driver. Also, I do remember confirming with the staff that the final due was $150 deposit to Nobel Auto and $425 to the driver.
Overall, very bad communication with customer. If I was informed correctly on what’s going on and if they took initiative in getting me information (most of the time, I was the one calling for updates), I would not be upset.
ADDITIONAL UPDATE
A few hours after I got my reviews up on the web, the owner of Noble Auto called me, requesting me to remove the review in an exchange for half of the price refunded. He admitted to everything that I posted. Although I believe I am entitled for the refund since I was over charged in the end, I don't think it is an honest thing to do for the owner of Noble Auto to try to take down an honest review about their business. When I didn't agree because taking down a negative view with money is not an honest thing to do. He said that there were other ways for him to take down the review and that was not going to be good for me because I won't get any money back and will start getting a lot of phone calls. Right after he hang up the phone, I received this email from this website that the noble auto didn't acknowledge me as a customer. Not only that, I did start getting many phone calls and emails again from auto transport companies.
I tried to be as objective as possible in writing what happened. If you read carefully, there should be minimum description, for example, about how the owner of Noble Auto sounded on the phone when he called about review, which can be subjective to my perceptions. Please decide for yourself whether or not you want to use this company.
