We are a vehicle transportation company that has been contracted with New City Moving to transport a vehicle from Palo Alto, CA to Hillsboro, OR for an agreed amount, paid on delivery. At the time of delivery, customer pulled a statement that they have contracted with New City Moving for a lesser amount ($500 less than agreed amount with us).
Customer did not agree to pay us the full amount we had agreed with New City Moving, and paid less.
Due to delivery in the weekend (outside of normal hours for New City Moving), we were unable to call and reach New City Moving to resolve the issue. Vehicle needed to be delivered, as we cannot store it on the trailer.
We have tried to get an evidence from New City Moving that their client signed an agreement for our price at delivery, in order to pursue their client for collection actions.
They failed to provide that evidence, claiming customer have not signed it.
That is bad dispatching.
Upon multiple, insisting and painful tries to resolve this issue and get our agreed amount, even tried to agree to half of that amount, we were pushed around in between New City Moving and their client, they blaming each other.
In the end, no one has resolved our issue, and we lost $500 due to bad dispatching from New City Moving and shady business.
