I had contracted Nationwide for both my Auto as well as household stuff. The pickup got delayed as the company they had subcontracted to was not willing to make the pickup from my place. Somehow, after a couple of days they got my stuff picked up. I had asked for an optional storage of 7 days, in case i take time to find an apartment at the new place. The day i got there, I found an apartment and informed Nationwide that i would not require the storage. They said thats fine and told me how much I have saved by not using the storage. They then delivered the stuff and still want me to pay up for the storage... the company that delivered did not know anything about the actual terms of the order, they are just a subcontracted company that has nothing to do with you. Very rude response from the customer service dept of Nationwide... they claim that because the order had the provision of storage, you have to pay for it irrespective of you using it or not... while what they said at order booking was totally different.
