My son was moving to Los Angeles and we had to transport my Buick Rendezvous from Pittsburgh, so he has a car to drive in LA, which I am told is a necessity. Anyway, after going a bit crazy going through all of the reviews on transport reviews, I looked for a broker with good ratings in medium size companies. Saw a lot of good reviews for those who dealt with Laura Curto at Motor Movers, so i gave them a call. Laura was very pleasant to deal with and explained the facts of how the industry works and how your bid is viewed by the actual transport companies. She quoted an original price of 1250. We did not hear back for a week and i was getting nervous. Anyhow, Laura contacted me that day and said they were having a lot of trouble finding trucks from Pennsylvania to California, but had a company who would take our car that night for 1400.00. I could have passed, but we really needed to get the car there ASAP, so i agreed. Because the quote was higher than what she originally said, Laura lowered their brokers fee down to 175 from 235, which was reasonable. Laura was upfront and honest during the whole process and I would recommend her. The car arrived in Los Angeles 5 days later and was very dirty according to my son, but the weather was very bad, so it was understandable. Nothing a car wash can't take care of.
