Terrible Move, but not completely Broker's fault.

My experience was poor, but I can't attribute it completely to the broker.

I had returned from overseas duty with the Marines, and needed a car.

They brokered my move to V&S Brothers Trucking. My car was picked up a day late. When my car was supposed to be delivered, it was in Tennessee. The mover brushed me off and said "That's how it is". Motor Movers sounded apologetic, and said they would do what they could. I specifically asked on Saturday for the car to be delivered on the following Monday before 4pm.

I did not receive a call from the moving company or the brokers. So when I called on Monday, it took them 6 hours to finally find out that the car would be arriving 4-8pm, which was the polar opposite of before 4pm. So they finally said the car would be showing up the next morning.

The car did show up the next morning, and which was the first thing the movers finally followed up on accurately. The driver seemed in a rush to get out of there, so after an inspection of the undercarriage and paint, the car seemed like it was ok (although it was FILTHY). While he was driving off, and I got in the car to park it, I realized there was damage on the right sideview mirror. I immediately called the driver to tell him to come back, to which he replied he couldn't because he was on a rush to New Jersey. He said he would call back, but did not. I called a Motor Movers a day after who said I was screwed because I signed the bill of lading, even though I have a records of the calls occurring directly after and the fact the transaction was recorded on CCTV. They said don't even bother with a small claims settlement. They said they would call V&S Brothers, and that they would get back to me.

A day passed and no one called, so I called back. I finally called George, who got angry, said he didn't trust me, and to never call back again. Motor Movers said their hands were tied, despite any video evidence I had.

I would MAYBE recommend going through this company, but if they try sending you to V&S Brothers Trucking, back out quick. I will try and send a complaint through the BBB, and when that does nothing I more than likely will follow through with a small claims settlement.

Grant Himmerich~(480) 428-1266~grant@motormoversautotransport.com John, Thank you for acknowledging that we did what we are able to and more. I am very happy you would consider using us again and that you realize all of us at Motor Movers were there for you and did not avoid your calls. As you know a broker can only do so much once the carrier has the vehicle. V&S has always delivered excellent service for us and we were let down. Unfortunately, I took Friday off at the last moment to handle personal issues and did not get your voicemail until the following day. By then Patrick was dealing with this and too many cooks spoiled the soup. Please know we all care when problems arise and we are available 7 days a week to try and fix the problems that can come up when moving a vehicle. Sincerely, Grant H
