Wrong quote, wrong delivery time, excessive calls

I just received my car from Montway Auto Transport (their carrier, VIP Haul), after 20 phone calls with the driver.
Extremely unhappy right now, but I'll try my best to avoid rude expressions.

Pros:
- Early delivery (estimated 6 days but came in 5 days)
- Easy to use web site (although the quote ended up wrong)

Cons:
- Inaccurate quote (originally quoted for $750, later changed to $850)
- Inappropriate drop off time (told me 5~8 pm and came after midnight)
- No use of GPS (you have to navigate the driver over the phone)
- Too many phone calls for things they should be handling themselves
- No flexibility on their policies (12 am was too late for us to receive the car, but they would not come back next day. They cannot drop off the car without receiving the cash even when it's purely their fault to deliver too late)

I had much better experience with A-1 Auto Transport; same money, hassle-free delivery.
Fully regretting that I picked Montway for the false $100 cost difference.

With all due respect to the customer and its review, let me tell you the TRUTH !!! Mr or Ms Masayuki Agawa has placed an Order with on 04/03/2011 for $770.00 Regarding the price issue, he is claiming above: The price of $770.00 is a good price, but requires great flexibility and on the next day we had carrier that wanted to provide an EXPEDITE service for extra $80.00 and this was OPTIONAL!!! We've called the customer to offer that to him - No answer !! We've sent an email offering him that EXPEDITED Service - OPTIONAL and he replied back - I AGREE ( we have the email as a proof )! So for $80 extra his car arrived within 5 days from CA to OH!!! That is AMAZING ( usual transit time is 10 to 14 days )!!! Regarding delivery: Here is where the actual problem occured, but not from our side or the Carrier side, but the CUSTOMER was the one who caused the problem and here is WHY: The trucker called Mr Masayuki Agawa in the morning of the delivery date - No answer - Left voice msg that he'll be there. Couple of hours later trucker called again and left another msg that he'll be there around 5pm - AGAIN - No asnwer - No call back! Around 4pm the trucker called us - Montway and asked for assistance to locate the customer. We've called and left a voice msg. We've sent an email with Subject : URGENT - Call back needed! No -response! Montway advised the trucker to wait in the area ( Cleveland, OH ) until the customer calls back!!! This was the only vehicle that the trucker had for OH - all other cars were going to Boston,MA, so the trucker was waiting ONLY for this Customer to call back and accept delivery and we're actually not even required to WAIT for him, if he is not responding all day long by phone & email and the car was suppose to go into a storage facility, which will require additional cost and hassle for the customer, but we wanted to make him happy and we were holding the driver there just to deliver this car, once we get in touch with Mr Masayuki Agawa. Finally around 11pm Mr Masayuki Agawa called our trucker back and asked him to deliver next day in the evening !!! Of course this was NOT acceptable and trucker explained that to the customer, that he is already waiting for him since 5pm and there is no way he can wait another 24 hours, since we have other customers to serve and at this point the customer decided to accept delivery. That is the TRUE representation of this transaction and all of that is backed by emails and documents! It's very disturbing when you try to deliver Peace of mind and provider a HIGH Level of customer service and later on the customer leaves a dishonest review. The only thing that is TRUE from his review is that the price went up and this is AGREED by him to EXPEDITE the shipment! Anyhow we wish Mr Masayuki Agawa good luck !!! God Bless America
