I made arrangements to ship my car from Rhode Island to Florida and they wanted to know when the vehicle will be available so they could work out a price. Available meant a reasonable time after that date… And after that date I was to contact them to give them the exact date or at least this was the impression that was given. So I called them by that date when my exact schedule was affirmed to tell him the exact date that I wished my car picked up. They informed me that they could only give me a “range of days” like four or five days during which time they would come…and call me on the morning of that day to tell me they would be coming anytime that day. I explained to them that this was not good enough… I have airline tickets, and other traveling requirements ….that I was under the pression that I could call them after my “available date” to set up an exact date and they said that I misunderstood. However if I wanted them to come on a particular date rather than a “range” of dates… I will be charged an extra $200. They had me over a barrel so I agreed. The only question I have is….why would anyone wish to deal with a company like that!
