Hi Peter, thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. Not everyone ships a car every day, so we provide full transparency for shipments. This is exactly why we reach out to confirm shipment details. It's important to remember that we are the largest auto broker in the country. We ship hundreds of cars every single day. Over 150,000 last year alone.
I did an audit of this order and can confirm that you booked your shipment online via our website. So we are able to see exactly what you selected as the locations for your quote. We are also able to view the exact email that was sent out to you to confirm this. And we can confirm that you entered the initial locations.
You spoke with our team and they updated the locations as you informed them the locations were incorrect. Due to this change in locations, there would be a price change as you have indicated here. While price per mile is a factor for shipments, it is not the only one. There are many factors that affect shipment pricing and we provide a guide for this on our website at https://www.montway.com/how-much-does-it-cost-ship-car.
We understand that mistakes can happen and we do apologize for the frustration. But a change of locations does typically require a change of price per our agreed-upon terms. As your shipment did not proceed beyond this initial order confirmation, we don't believe it's fair to comment on policies and procedures beyond this point.
