Hello Ellen, we apologize for any confusion. You booked with Montway and provided your credit card information on 6/4. You received a confirmation email detailing services and what would be charged to your credit card once we dispatched a carrier. We actually dispatched a carrier within 2 hours of your booking.
We did receive notice you wished to cancel and processed on our end. This means the carrier received notice of your cancellation as well. But it seems that there was a miscommunication with the driver from their end. As the driver still went out to pick up the vehicle. Please note that Montway and the motor carrier are completely separate companies. Montway is purely a broker and never takes possession of a customer's vehicle.
Your pickup contact willingly released the vehicle to the carrier.
Again, we do apologize for the confusion. But we are happy to hear your vehicle was delivered safe and sound by the motor carrier. We have spoken with the motor carrier in regards to their internal communication procedures. To avoid future confusion.
