Last minute ship from LA to Boston

Great experience shipping my car from LA to Boston for a cross-country move. Booked it 5 days in advance. Car was delivered within the window promised, was given a 3 day +/- for pickup and delivery so I expected that I may have to be home on a weekday for it, which was the case.

When I called to check on the car status and to find out when I had to be home for it to be delivered, the driver's cell and the shipper company's numbers kept ringing and not going to voicemail, so this made me nervous. I called Montway directly and they were able to reach the driver and the shipper, and they let me know I would receive a call 1 day prior letting me know it was coming the next day, and the driver would call within 2 hours of delivering it. All of this did happen, and the driver nicely called early in the day to let me know his status, and called later to update me. Because he was coming in around 10pm he also offered alternatively to meet early in the AM if it was easier for me. His number was different than what was listed when I saw the caller ID and I'm guessing that they will use another number so they don't disclose his cell to everyone and maybe that's why I couldn't get his VM. Because I live on a small street in the center of the city we had to meet the truck driver in a parking lot of a mall 20mins away, but I was told this would be the case in advance. Driver was friendly when I met him.

I had heard nightmare stories about car shipping experiences but I'm really happy with my experience with Montway. They ensured my (leased!) new car is in the same condition I left it in, and they made the process manageable. On top of that, the price was competitive and reasonable vs. other shippers. Serious sigh of relief!
