Second Experience With Montway

This is the second time we have used Montway to ship a vehicle from Minnesota to Florida.
This vehicle, a 1970 VW Beetle, was not as easy as the first time (2012 Kia Soul), mainly due to the fact that the contact person for the driver dispatch spoke very little English and with a very heavy accent. She was at times not only difficult to understand in the I can't understand your accent sense, but also in the I do not understand what you mean by that statement because I don't know what "regulate the driver" means. (She meant that the driver was requesting a bit of guidance pulling off the trailer because our vehicle was so narrow on the trailer. More on that later.)
With a little work we got through it, and I don't feel it was enough of a problem to bring down the driver's rating or Montway's rating.
The party of origin said that the driver was on time, courteous, and knew what he was doing. Delivery on our end was on time, which I was a little concerned about at first because we agreed to delivery at 6:00 am before work. No problems there at all. Everything went very smoothly. The driver had the paperwork in order, the bill of lading was accurate, and the vehicle arrived in the same condition as when it was picked up. There were no extra costs. The price quoted was the cost at delivery.
The driver was VERY good at unloading our vehicle. He backed it off the trailer nicely despite the fact that it is a jumpy stick shift. The gap in the middle of the ramps of the trailer combined with the narrowness of the Beetle was such that there was very little room for error (literally inches on either side). My husband and I were able to watch the four tires of the vehicle and the driver unloaded expertly.
Bottom line is, I highly recommend Montway and their drivers. I don't even bother calling around for quotes from anyone else anymore. They are straight forward about pricing, on time, reliable, and great to work with.
