My first time using a transportation company!

This was the first time I had to ship a car using a transportation company. Like many people (via reviews I read) it is very nerve racking to trust an unknown company to ship a car across the country. After weeks of searching, getting quotes, talking to companies, reading endless reviews, and completing hours of research on the internet, I chose Montway. At first I was skeptical with all companies. Reviews and comments could be made up; bad reviews could be removed; and trusting the internet is something I do not do often. After settling on Montway I called and scheduled an appointment to have my car transported. The price quoted was a bit more than I paid, but essentially insignificant. I gave a date when my car would be ready to pick up for transport (about a week later). When a company was not dispatched, I received a call from the dispatch stating that they were experiencing some difficulty locating an enclosed transportation truck and offered me an open trailer. I declined as the car I was transporting was a classic convertible and I did not want to risk any damage to the car and have to worry about a claim. It was easier to pay the additional money to ensure the car was secure in an enclosed container. A few days later a company was dispatched. Wow that was quick! I did some research on the transportation company and I did not like what I found. They had too many recent bad reviews. I contacted Montway and they immediately cancelled the first company and within one day the delivery was dispatched again. I felt much better with the new company Five Star even though I could not find very many reviews online. Their home office was a few miles from the delivery location so I thought I would have a better chance to resolve an issue should one occur. Well to my surprise the car arrived several days early; customer service was excellent; and the delivery driver said no one touched the car except the seller and the buyer (me). Everything was just fine with the car although a bit dusty from the trip. In summary, I was very satisfied with Montway and Five Star. Their customer service was beyond excellent. Even the dispatched transportation company went out of their way to contact me and provide excellent service. The next time I need to transport a car I will definitely use Montway. I know there are other companies out there, but this experience left me feeling very confident in my choice. Good luck and before you make your choice do your research.
