When I initially called to get a quote, the salesman seemed very adamant that this was the best company to transport my vehicle from Washington to Colorado. I loved the confidence he had, because I do want to work with the best.
The salesman (Frank) quoted me $729 if I paid with a card or $679 if I paid cash. He also politely informed me that he could work with me on the price if I had found cheaper, which I eventually did. I did my homework and found that Montway had very good reviews, so I decided to go with them.
Upon calling back to inform the salesman that I had chosen Montway to transport the vehicle, I had explained to him what I was willing to pay for the service ($600). He then rudely asserted that he could charge me whatever he wanted to but it would be the trucker who picked up the car that would ultimately determine the price. This seemed strange to me and I did not appreciate the salesman's harsh tone.
I called the salesman a couple more times to figure out when the car was going to be picked up. Honestly, he seemed quite annoyed that I was calling and continued using a rude tone. He informed me that once they found a trucker who was willing to pick the car up, I would get a phone call letting me know when they could pick it up.
I was on a cross country move and therefore in and out of cell phone service. I eventually received a couple threatening voicemails stating that if I don't call back soon, the driver wouldn't be picking up my car. After trying to figure this out all weekend and not getting an answer, I didn't think it was great customer service to then threaten me if I didn't promptly answer whether or not I accepted the final quoted price ($650). All in all the car got to where it needed to be. I was not, however, very impressed with the overall customer service.
After posting my review on Montway auto. I was compensated $100, I received my compensation once i updated my review online. I appreciated the apology and compensation.
