Very Good Overall Experience for First Auto Shipment

This was the first time that I've shipped a vehicle, and the experience was very good. I found Montway through Uship.com, but I soon discovered that the quote they were able to give directly was much lower than anything I could get through Uship.
I had a few questions before booking the shipment, which were answered quickly and courteously via email. Once I booked the shipment, they sent a confirmation email, and left me alone until the carrier(Roadrunner) was dispatched a few days later. My wife was tasked with handing the car over to the driver, since I had already moved, and it went very smoothly. The driver was very courteous and friendly, and loaded the car right in front of our house. He called me to set a tentative drop-off time when he was about 2 days out, then again the morning of the delivery. He ended up pushing the drop-off time back a bit because of traffic, but called to confirm. (Completely understandable in Los Angeles area) Because our new home is in a gated community with narrow, winding, dead-end roads, the driver called when he arrived to discuss unloading. He ended up parking on a main road right outside the gate near our house, and it worked out great. In retrospect, I should have realized that the drop-off location would potentially have been an issue and warned him in advance(recommendation for others thinking of shipping a vehicle), but he had no problem figuring it out on-the-spot.
There were no issues with the vehicle at all. Because it was an open transport in summer, and my vehicle was loaded in the front-most position, it was absolutely covered in dead bugs. Of course, someone's car has to be in this position, and it's to be expected. Thankfully, the vehicle had been loaded back end first, so the windshield and headlights were clear, and I could drive to the car wash to have it taken care of. No big deal. I write this not as a complaint, just a note to others so that expectations can be set when making the decision to go with open transport.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm sure that I'll use Montway again, preferrably with Roadrunner as the carrier.
