I didn't know a thing about shipping a car. I bumbled into the internet and I had an unpleasant experience with my first pick of an agent. I tried again and eventually Paul Martin, an agent of Mercury, contacted me. He explained how the system works. That is, everyone is an independent agent and the estimated costs are guesses, since the final shipping has to be agreed on by the agent for the guy driving the truck. It's a pure bid/ask system. Paul's estimate was off by only $50 when a driver was finally found. (Other agents were off by hundreds) Paul kept in continuous touch and everything went smoothly. I recommend Mercury, and Paul, with no reservations.
