Unfortunately, the carrier we found to ship Ruth's car canceled at the last minute due to bad weather. This does sometimes happen in the winter. Kat called her to explain that the carrier canceled and told her why and Ruth just got really mad. It was as if she couldn't understand what we were trying to explain.
We felt that she just didn't get the concept that we are brokers and that the carrier we had found for her was a separate entity. As far as the cancellation is concerned everybody up in that North East region of the U.S. was delayed for the same reason. Many of our other customers understood this and had no problem being picked up a few days later which they were and all had their cars shipped without a problem. After all you can not control the weather and we just couldn't understand why Ruth would not be more understanding.
As for Kat being rude, this is a first I've ever heard. After Kat was on the phone with her for a long time trying to explain the logic of the situation and after her being very patient with Ruth she was just not getting anywhere So, Kat told Ruth that maybe she should find someone else to ship the vehicle. she didn't mean any harm by saying that it's just that it was very hard to talk sense to this customer.
We told her their will be not charge and no hard feelings. We even had multiple employees call her after to apologize for any inconvenience and to try to still help her ship her car as we found other drivers for after the weather past but these conversations never got anywhere and I guess you just can not please everyone.
We hope that Ruth found away to ship her vehicle and are frustrated that we couldn't get to her and help her. We of course invite Ruth to speak with us anytime if there is anything else we can ever help her with.
