I was contacted by almost a dozen carriers and after vetting each one, and with a recommendation from my broker, I chose Mercury, Jim Goldze. I was contemplating purchasing a vehicle in Fort Worth, TX and shipping it to CA. Without having to pay a deposit, Mercury waited for the go-ahead, and after viewing the vehicle I gave them the green light. The transport was coincidentally in Dallas so we were able to meet the next day at the Fort Worth dealer where I was able to oversee the walk-around and the loading before returning to DFW for my return flight. The transport had twelve high end vehicles (Mclaren, Tesla, MB AMGs) on board and after stops in Phoenix, Los Angeles, SF Bay Area, I met the driver on the fifth day in the Sacramento area and took delivery. I was given the cell # of the driver so I was able to receive daily progress updates. Jim explained the process and helped quell the anxiety of shipping a high end vehicle. His price quote was not the lowest nor the highest, yet was able to retain a competent covered carrier for the quoted price. I'm not sure if I would endure the time and expense of purchasing another out-of-state vehicle, but if I do, I would not hesitate to contact Mercury again.
