OVER CHARGED ON CC AND CRAZY MATH ON CONTRACT

Price quoted in phone conversation ($150.00 deposit and $900.00 to the driver for a total of $1050.00) this was not the price on the contract. The contract showed Price Quote $1050.00; Collected $155.39; Balance due $894.61; Deposit due $150.00, and $900.00 to the driver. CRAZY MATH SOMEHOW!!! They charged my CC $155.39. I was contacted by my CC company after they tried to charge an additional $150.00 on my CC (thank God I have credit watch through my card company). After 3 calls with messagesand no resolution, I contacted the Florida BBB. All of a sudden Mercury wanted to resolve my issue. They couldn’t explain the second attempt to charge 150$ or the CRAZY MATH but did refund the over charge on the initial payment and corrected the contract. Had I signed the contract the way it was written and sent it in, I would have had to pay the $155.39, $150.00 and the $894.61 to the shipping company. This is in addition to the $900.00 Cash to the driver. I would strongly suggest looking at your contract and credit card statement closely. I’m happy with the resolution but would not use this company again.

John, You contacted us on a Thursday 10/3 at 10 PM EST and we responded to your text immeditaly at 11 PM that we ll place ur vehicle on the board and get a carrier to bite ASAP. You also mentioned that you have been waiting over a week with another broker who hasnt gotten back to you and I personnaly verbalized what had to be done to attract carriers asap and you aggreed on all details verbally and via text message. On 10/4 we located a Carrier at 9AM EST and emailed you a contract at 11AM for $ 1050 and loaded your vehicle on 10/5 9pm. We have made the corrections and explained the reason for $5.39 that was charged to your card with a follow up email. As far as the FALSE claim for the extra$ 150 We did not charge you anything additional than that and you ll see that the $ 150 is the only charge from Mercury. As far as the 3 missed calls with no response , they all happened on 10/7 around 9PM . 10PM EST and we got back to you first thing on 10/8. We are happy that this has gotten resolved and once again apologize for not reaching out verbally for the $ 5.39. We have now refunded an additional $ 25 to show our good intentions . Total fianal cost $ 900 to the carrier + $130.39 = $ 1030.39.We also spoke with your assigned carrier Walter and he is delivering your vehicle later today
