Car was being transported from RI to CA on move to the San Luis Obispo Area on June 10th. According to Broker (nationwide/WorldWide Movers in Foret Lauderdale, FL) the latest ship date was to be June 23rd. Since around June 23rd, I have called every day to the office and have been told various stories about the location of my car.
June 20th - I received a call from the driver saying the car had been delivered to the owner. June 21st - M&E Manager said that the car was in AZ en route to LA June 22nd - M&E Manager said that "This is the trucking business" and that the driver had been delayed and would be in LA by nightfall. June 23rd - M&E Manager said that the car would be delivered by Monday June 27 - M&E said the car was in Northern California and would be delivered the next day June 28 - M&E said the car was in Northern California and would be delivered the next day June 29 - M&E said the car was in Northern California and would be delivered that evening.
It is now June 30th and no car has been delivered.
I have spent hundreds of extra dollars on rental cars and work hours to be available for the driver. I am now wondering if I should report the car stolen, or what I should do next.
I was forced into using M&E at a last minute change, by the broker. M&E has an F rating at the BBB and many Californians have had issues with them. A couple examples below:
