. I moved the car from Illinois to CA. The overall experience is good. I originally scheduled a later date, then I requested a date change, the company did it without any issue. Magic Carpet is actually the agent who arranged other carriers to do the actually job. So expect communication between multiple parties. The car was delivered to me directly by the carrier, they called me in advance that they cannot go to residential area, which means they cannot do strictly door-to-door. Or is this an cost-reducing measure. Luckily I live within walking distance to many car dealers where they unload cars. Another issue is that I need to leave some books in the trunk. It is not always allowed. But the truck driver let me do it. Saves me a ton of trouble.
