After having a disastrous shipping history with DAS i decided to try and use mcats services. My original broker was Todd. He answered emails promptly and the car was picked up exactly on the date i wanted it to be picked up. Now this is where it gets tricky. The car was picked up on 4/5/11 and due date for drop off on 4/12. I received a call from the trucker on 4/8 stating he is early and will be dropping the car off on 4/9. I was excited that they were this quick. This is when things went wrong. I waited all Saturday and no call from the trucker. I called the trucker back asking where he was at. His response was that his truck broke down in salt lake city ut. He had no eta now. I emailed Todd Monday to see what he thinks or what he can find out. He sends a update email that the new delivery date will be 4/14 and a new trucker was being sent out via Portland to pick up the trailer and resume the deliveries. No problem things happen. Well thursday rolls around no trucker. Email todd back and he sends a response it will be friday now. Ok one day no biggy. Friday night rolls around no calls no nothing from anyone. Now im getting upset. I contact the main mcat office Saturday since i could not get ahold of todd, so i spoke to kathy. Kathys system showed all the original invoice number with no updates on new driver or anything. I start to panic because now no one knew where my car was. Kathy kept me calm and she tried her best with the resources she had to try and find my car. Well now that i am really upset i figured i will try the old driver and see what he says. Well to my surprise he is still in charge of my car and that my car has been sitting at their terminal in Cheyenne Wyoming since thursday and he said that he was sent back to Oregon to pick up more cars. So now i am livid knowing my car is 90 minutes from my house and has been there for 3 days and will be 5 days when monday comes, with no way for me to access it or get it since its locked down. Well nothing came of it and i had to wait till monday morning when everyone comes back. To make matters worse, mcat contracted this job out to one of the poorest rated transport companies Advance Carriers which now set my fears in full swing that this will be DAS all over again. Todd responded on monday morning that he will try and resolve the situation promptly. He emails back that new delivery date is set for today 4/19th. That night 4/18th i get a call from the trucker saying he will have the car to me at 8-10am. Sure enough the trucker does show up with my car today at 945am. Todd did fallow up today to make sure my car was delivered and that everything was good. So in summery mcat was a good company and they tried their best with the resources they have, but it is a broker that has no control over the companies they subcontract their work out too.
