We moved our car from New York to Los Angeles in July 2010. We believed in those five stars reviews and choose magic carpet as we do not want any headaches. Our car was scheduled to pick up on June 30th 2010. We planned to flight back to Los Angeles on that day and we gave the contact number of my friend to make schedule to pick up the car. The driver called my friend to pick up the car. But he confused with his car and he told to driver “his car was already sold”. Within thirty minutes, we found out that my friend gave wrong information to driver. So we contacted with Michelle from Magic Carpet and explained her that my friend gave wrong information to the driver and ask her to contact driver to pick up our car as scheduled. But she said “It is not her fault “, “It is too late to talk to the driver to pick up on that day”, “She can reschedule to pick up our car only on July 5th 2010”. We asked the contact number of driver and she said “it is confidential and she can not provide it.” So we tried to find out driver contact number from caller ID of my friend’s phone and contact to driver ourselves and arranged him to pick up on that day (June 30th 2010). We didn’t get any help from magic carpet in this situation and all we have is the words of blame. Moving process took 14days to receive our car in Los Angeles. When we have questions and we called to customer service. They said they will call us back and I had not received any return calls. After we received I asked how to get back our 50 $ rebate. It took two days and I had to make three phone calls to get this link. We will see how magic carpet keeps their promise to give us 50$ rebate back. I’ll give only 3 stars from my experiences. I think it is more than enough. Magic carpet needs to improve their customer service and attitude of customer service to worth for 5 stars.

Aung, I am sorry that you feel that you did not receive customer service to your satisfaction. As brokers we only have so much control over the transport process. For us to control what the pickup customer told the driver is out of our control. Once we found out that he told the driver he sold the car we immediately got diligent with our dispatch department and that of the driver's to fix this situation and get the driver out there as soon as possible. We however do not give out a driver's information to a customer until the car has been picked up. There are rules and policies that we hold to for the safety of our driver and the vehicles on his carrier. It is a great service that the driver did for you in picking up your vehicle even after being turned away. Many customers for the NY to CA route would love to be in your shoes and have a completed auto transport like you do. Michelle
