I had my car shipped from California to New York. A carrier was assigned to my vehicle with 1 day of availability which is impressive; however, it was picked up one day later than scheduled. Since I was coming down from Canada to meet the driver, I had specific instructions for the carrier to give me 24-hours notice before arrival but heard nothing. I had to google the name of the carrier online and call them to find that my vehicle was going to be delivered at 1pm that day. Although it was short notice I was able to arrange to meet the driver and received the vehicle.
I think some feedback from the transport company would have been appreciated. While in transit I got no status updates whatsoever. Other reviewers kept in contact with the driver at least once or twice. The vehicle came in excellent shape, no scratch, no dents, and with same mileage as when it left. This was a great relief for me.
I think Magic Carpet did their best but it all depends on the carrier. Since I was only given the name of the carrier but not their phone, it would have been good if Magic Carpet contacted me to keep me updated. For this reason I deducted one start.
