Received an email quote for $1080 from Magic Carpet. While higher than other carriers, I was looking for someone with high ratings after not even getting callbacks from some of the lower bidders. Based on some of the reviews I read here, I asked Nicole if it was possible to get a lower rate than the $1080 quote based on some of the lower quotes I received. She indicated that she recommended bidding no lower than $960 if I wanted the car to get picked up timely. We agreed on that price and I gave them my card. Pickup was on the day promised, and the car arrived three days early. The day before arrival I was told that the total for the shipment was $1080. I immediately contacted Nicole and informed her of the price discrepancy. She indicated that I needed to pay the shipper to receive the car but that she would talk to her supervisor about the discrepancy. Unfortunately, my invoice from them showed only the $1080 that I had originally been quoted, not the $960 we had agreed on on the phone. I had failed to check the invoice until after I get the call from the shipper so I hadn't noticed the discrepancy. Despite the fact that I didn't have the figure on an invoice, after a little back and forth, Magic Carpet agreed to refund the $120. At all times the staff was friendly, and professional, and the car arrived early with no problems. Communication of the car's progress was excellent throughout. I recommend them wholeheartedly. Just make sure that if you are able secure a different price from your original email quote that you check your emailed invoice immediately after you close the transaction. That way, in the very unlikely event that there is a similar error, you can immediately address it, saving both you and Magic Carpet the trouble of having to try and recollect the conversation after the fact. Magic Carpet not only delivered the car in exceptional fashion, they also handled my price dispute in a professional, consumer friendly manner that I am certain few, if any other carriers would have matched.
