Deonna Wilson - Dishonest

I review harshly because I do not believe that Magic Carpet acted honestly with me.

I was given a quote by Deonna for 1,246 with a $30 rebate for doing this review. I asked her if it would be picked up relatively soon and whether the quote would change under any circumstances. To the first question she admitted that she could not make any guarantees, but that in her opinion it should not be more than a week. To the second question, the answer was, "absolutely not; this will be the final price."

A week passes, no one picks up the order. I call after ten days and they inform me that no carrier has picked up the order and that if I want to have it picked up "soon", it will cost me an extra $200. What can I do at this point? I need my car. And they are telling me that the order could sit open indefinitely. So I pay and my car is delivered 3 weeks after it was open to be picked up, and I had to pay $200 more than the quote that Deonna guaranteed would be the final quote.

Deonna was dishonest by not telling me that I might have to pay $200 extra for a "priority" order. Essentially, the carriers can wait to pick up your car because they know you will get desperate and pay an extra $200 for a "priority" order. Had Deonna informed me of this likely outcome, I could have made a proper decision regarding which company to choose.

Finally, Magic Carpet is is dishonest when they tell customers not to check the box asking if you were compensated for the review because it's a "rebate." A rebate is compensation for the review. I get $30 on the condition that I fill out this review on this site. I fail to understand how this does not constitute compensation.
