Lightning Auto Carriers (LAC) provided the lowest quote. Correspondence with LAC was ok, could have been a little more frequent on the updating. I have never used an auto transport, so I was unsure of what to expect. Overall LAC was good and I would use again. I was quoted 200, but was called and asked to pay 250 as an option to use the first transporter that called. I said no and he lowered it to 225, which we agreed on.

For those that have never used an auto transport it is good to understand that LAC is just the middle man. They sub-contract the actual job to other companies. Mine was given to a local hauler. I was given name and number for them, but could not get a hold of them, which freaked me out. I bought from an individual seller, who happened to be available all day, so when the transporter showed up that day (day was know, but not time of day) it worked out. Had the seller needed to make arrangements to be there at a certain time, this could have caused a problem, but did not in this case. They were delivering the car the same day and finally called me (first time I had talked to them) a few hours after they picked it up telling what time they would drop it off. Again, if I had to make arrangements to be there, this could have been an issue, but in this case, it was not.

I would use LAC again, I would just understand that the company actually moving the car may not represent LAC (communication, ect). Car was picked up and delivered day it was promised, which worked out fine.
