I booked this transport on a vehicle I sold, and was told out the gate 650. Sweet. Works for me. I reconfirmed that he understood what the car was, and reconfirmed price multiple times (email, phone, and text) Then he asked for the deposit via money order or deposit into bank account, which threw up a big red flag, but we were anxious to get the car on the road. I confirmed prior to deposit the total price again, reiterating that I have done this before and I didn't want a price increase surprise. He said that the car would be picked up between 3-6pm that Saturday and the price was good. I paid the FULL amount so it would just be done.
No call, text, or email for the next few days, so I assume we are still a go for Saturday. My father in law waited around all day (he knows how transport companies are...never on time) and it was a no show, no call, no anything. I tried to call, text, and email, but they were "closed". Hate to break it to you, but your cell phone is what you operate on and you had NO problem getting in touch with me over the weekend to get your money....
Mid morning Monday, after again, not hearing anything, I call. He says to call back in a hour. I do. then he is going to a meeting. I just say, it's fine, just have something for me by the end of the day. I have to call again the next day because I don't hear back.
I have good news and bad news. Good news is that it can be picked up tomorrow, bad news is it will be more money, an increase of 200 bucks, which might not sound like much but that is 30% greater than the original quote, plus I reconfirmed the price several times before paying and then confirming pickup that Saturday like something was legit.
We say no. He blows up my phone the next morning for a window, and granted he did drop his price a little, it was not acceptable. I don't get to sell you a product then just raise the rate on it after you pay and are walking out of the store. He also proceeds into a weird tirade about even if I hate his company (and this was before any altercation began) that other brokers do the same, blah blah blah. really? He was instantly defensive, which is a bad sign. Also he threatened that he gets to keep my deposit (200 bucks) if it gets posted by another broker. No, I don't think so. I will pay an attorney 10 times this to fight and win, because I am personally sick of crappy companies preying on consumers and getting away with it, because the recourse is so expensive.
So then we get into an argument, and it just becomes silly. My husband demands a full refund and I get on google to find more info. Apparently this is a company that used to be called Integra Shipping LLC... look it up. Probably had too many complaints to operate anymore, so they up and change names so it looks like they have a clean slate. I am kicking myself for nor researching further, which I normally do. So to continue. Phil says he will refund the money and have it in the mail, but he doesn't know our address (it's not the same as pickup of the vehicle) and he doesn't even confirm with a tracking number. Then the following week, he calls back saying he can do a pickup (for again, more money than we agreed to) and we ask again for the refund, that we no longer want his service because he operates bad business. He acts confused, but says he will send it.
Another week goes by. It didn't arrive. He says he sent it. I send an email asking him which address he sent it to, what the check number is, and if he got a tracking or confirmation number. No response. And today makes yet another week that this illusive check has not arrived.
Do yourself a favor. Do not book with this company. if you feel like it's a great deal, please google Integra Shipping. You will be disgusted that he is allowed to still operate. And for anyone out there, who got "blackmailed" into continuing shipment because he was going to keep your money and you had to pay more, please post. I would be willing to start a class action against him. Bad business doesn't need to be tolerated.
