I needed transport of a 27 year old car that I am planning to use as an engine test vehicle. I was referred to Horizon by a motor freight company after calling dozens of San Antonio phonebook numbers. Horizon promised to look into my request and the next morning, Steve called back with a plan. He arranged for a local wrecker to pick up my car and take it to storage where it was kept until a trucker was found to deliver it to VA. No one bid at my offer of $550, so I raised it to $600 and in two more days, had a bid. Both Horizon Auto Services and the trucker, A & R Hauling of Lexana, VA kept in touch with me by phone every few days on the status of the delivery. When A & R arrived, he helped me move my car into my property since my half mile driveway was not passable for his truck due to recent heavy rains. The total time from pickup in Converse TX to delivery in central VA was 20 days and my total cost was $670.
