This was my first experience shipping an auto. I went to Googel, typed in auto shipping and selected a link. I filled in the details and was contacted by telephone and email by six separate brokers, with H.A.T. (Hilton Auto Transport) being one of them and the low bidder. The brokers that called me made it a point of saying any quotes below theirs was at a rate that was not possible to make money on and advised me to disregard those. I never have appreciated that sales tactic and dismissed them.

I contacted Nichole at Hilton by telephone to discuss the terms and what to expect. She was very helpful and I booked it through H.A.T. They are a broker only and simply have a fee to make the arrangements and you are somewhat at the mercy of the carrier with regards to pickup and delivery. However, Nichole did follow up with my prior to the pickup date to be sure I was still on my schedule and I would be ready on the agreed pickup date.

On the pickup date, I finished my business and was ready for the carrier to arrive. I called Nichole and she contacted the carrier who was in the San Antonio area making another pickup and he called me soon after to confirm the address and get exact directions to my location. His truck and trailer were in good condition and we made specifica arrangements for delivery in South Carolina after I drove a rental moving truck. Overall his service was satisfactory and Nichole did make the experience painless and was professional. If I ever need to transport an auto again I would not hesitate calling Nichole to provide broker services.
