Because you waited 3 weeks to contact us after the car was delivered, our hands were tied on collecting from the carrier directly because your brother signed the inspection report NO DAMAGE. Angel did his best to get you in touch with the carriers insurance company and because of the delays and the signed BL they had to refuse a claim. We have always been professional with you and Angel says your conversations were always respectful and of course we are upset that this could not be resolved. But we must follow the Federal Regulations that govern our industry and pay the carrier for transport when we receive a signed inspection report (bill of lading) with no damage. It was also suggested that you file this claim with your own insurance company. Chains or straps are used by manufacturers to transport brand new vehicles, the tightness of the chains and straps are checked at the weigh stations by the DOT officers if they are loose they are asked to tighten them more. We have transported thousands of Mercedes-Benz's and Thousands of GL's with no issue. It is possible that the damage was existing and the transport exposed the problem. We are sorry your claim was denied.
