The shipping of our car was a major fiasco. Our car was 2 weeks late, believed to be stolen (police report was filed and it was listed as stolen), full of personal items that do NOT belong to us, filthy dirty, no paperwork, an extra 3,500 miles on it (the contract was for shipping, not driving), and $2500 in damages. The police escorted my wife to the delivery site. Global Express has been unwilling to accept any responsibility. They hired a driver who had a car that was already missing when mine was picked up. I would expect a brokerage to have some idea of the reputation of those they contract with. In the search for my missing vehicle, one call to the Virginia Beach police department revealed that the company that Global Express contracted with had a history of this sort of behavior (police were looking for the owner). Global Express has done nothing to make this right. I will be happy to forward the email chain from hiring them to attempting to recover my car, and ultimately my deposit from this outfit to any who request it.
As an added insult and despite that our name was well known in the Global Express office, they had our review removed claiming we were not customers of theirs. Of course I immediately provided the documentation and the review was reposted a day later. Steer clear folks, moving this car was the last part of a permanent change of duty station, and I had to coordinate a police escort to accompany my wife to pick up the car from an airport terminal on my way to an overseas deployment.
