This person was informed of the time necessary to find him a driver to bring his vehicle to the destination, we coordinated 2 different drivers to do this. For his "inconvenience" as he stated, to ship his vehicle on 2 trucks he requested discounts, which I paid out of pocket, both for his credit card fees and to the second driver. Our company lost money on his transport, but as he stated we make a profit on other deliveries that should be used to pay his delivery. Then after his vehicle is delivered he finds a scuff on one of his wheels and wants to be compensated for something that is obviously not a transport issue. The wheel has a curb mark, but this is only from driving his vehicle, it is impossible to curb the wheel on a transport truck, neither can it be done loading or unloading. All this has been verified from the drivers. But this person called constantly saying if he did not get compensation he would place reviews that would make us pay him.
I am sorry, but we do not work under threat of harassment or blackmail, first of all the wheels and tires are only covered under the vehicles road hazard insurance, any damage to the vehicle is covered under the individual trucks insurance and need to be filed at delivery. Not after!
9/11/13..As an update to this review..this customer cancelled his payment after receiving his vehicle, constituting credit card fraud and payment recovery has been implemented by Froland Auto Transport.
