Mike at All American Auto Transport seemed helpful when the order was placed. He contracted with Rich at Freightport for the delivery. P.U. was later than promised but the driver was friendly and he said the car would "definitely" be delivered to my son no later than 1-22, and as early as 1-21-08. When the car was not delivered, I called Rich, who said the delivery truck broke down in North Carolina and not sure when it would get to Boston. When I called a few days later, Rich assured me, because the car was still in North Carolina, that he would "make things right with me "on the billing, because of the delay, and he would get back to me with the name/number for the new driver. The car was to have been delivered, no later than 5;00 pm on 1-28-08. The driver called on 1-28-08 and said he could make the delivery later in the night, but that was not possible as the gate at the office was locked, plus it would be dark and the car could not be inspected. I called Rich who said, "we will wash the car for you "and it would be delivered the next morning. It was, and when I called Rich about an adjustment on my bill, he said he would get with Alex, the owner, and get back to me. Rich has NOT returned my calls, nor acknowledged my faxes. I contacted Mike at AAAT who said it was up to Rich to adjust the bill, not him, even though the contract was with AAAT. It is stressful enough to ship a car, but when people are not honest about the delivery date, it creates even more hardship in arranging transportation during the interim. Freightport should not promise "to make things right" and then fail to return phone calls and Mike should have worked with Rich to resolve the situation to everyones satisfaction.
