First time for me to ship cars. Thus, usual hesitations on my part as a consumer. In end, all was done very professional and right. This whole process is an imperfect science. I appreciate much what Marcellious did for us. He called and was in area early, gave 8hrs notice. That in my opinion is fair. I live in a highly populated area with low tree cover. This is open carriers and would scratch vehicles already on truck coming in and out. He asked to meet in easy on/off area. This would be a big parking lot by house. He also suggested I take a picture of car on trailer for my own protection, not for condition purposes rather possesion. Good. Then, I had knowingly stuffed my trunk with the risk of extra charges. He inspected vehicle and did not look the other way. This was more than fair. I had read the contract, I knew the possiblilty. So we added the charge, he doesn't want to be a mover. He wants to ship cars. As I understand it, if DOT gets involved. He could get a ticket, if it is not declared, and is responsible for taking all the stuff out and putting it back during inspection, what a possible hassle. Also loose freight can bounce and hit/break windows from the inside. He said, "I am waiting a few days before heading East. Thus, it could arrive this day. But, probably on these days. I will call a day before getting to town, so that you can have the cash." Cash is the fairest form of pay for anyone. The delivery was again in nonresidential lot for ease purposes, another standard. Other things, the car is going to be dirty when it comes off the truck. If it is on the bottom, the one above can leak oil, also road dirt is amazing. Be ready to immediately get it washed. In arrival, my car had bumper damage from it sitting low. Thus, we immediately took it to body shop and it was taken care, No Hassles!!! I did alot of research before shipping and after. None of the things I experienced were outside standards or realm of possibilty of things when doing this stuff. Another thing, I spent a total of $150 for contact. I also spent $1850 and $400 for overcharge on two cars. Thus, $2400 for both cars to go from Bay area to NC. This is very competitive to gas and other options. Really, I appreciate the service and it was provided fairly and done right. Thanks for everything.
