I think my concerns for a first-time shipper of a sports car in excellent condition were completely justifiable, trying to balance cost with a level of comfort that my pride and joy wouldn't be errantly placed into a container heading overseas, lost, stolen, damaged, joy-driven, etc. I set about the task of first getting WAY too many shipping quotes emailed to me and then fielding the landslide of follow-up calls from aggressive marketers, only to feel a little uneasy about this whole adventure.
I don't remember if I found this site before or after I talked to Door-to-Door, but I do remember asking Roy about these reviews, and I was immediately settled by his level of expertise with this industry. I read some reviews of the companies I was talking to, and based on what I had read, and my conversations with Roy, I chose Door-to-Door. Before I get into the details, I would like to state that after our initial conversation, Roy was not hard to find, he gave me his cell number, and answered or returned my call EVERY time I called...Comforting when I was already nervous enough.
We contracted the details, the car was picked up on time, delivered on time, and best of all, arrived in one perfect piece. Okay, it was a bit dirty and dusty because I opted for "open" carrier, but a good wash and wax was all she needed!
Big thanks to Roy and JR who took very good care of my car, I will call them the very next time I need to move a car. I would like to note as well, that I was not paid, nor was a discount offered for me to write this review. I wrote this because of what others had written helped me, and I want to thank Door-to-Door for a job well done.
