The FIRST trucker that was assigned to pick up my car came 6 days later than he orginally said. I was told that pick-up and drop off would be at a time that worked for both the driver and myself, however he informed me that if he arrived in NJ at 2am I was expected to pick-up my car at 2am, at a truck stop, not my door as I was orginally told. After the man looked over my car he told me to leave that I did not need to see my car loaded, he kept insisting that I leave. Me and my friend "left" and sat on the wall of my apts parking garage. Here we watched him mess with his truck for an hour. When he finally hopped in my car to "load it on the truck" HE DROVE AWAY, IN MY CAR! " At the time my concern was for my own car, however it should be noted that:** He left his loaded truck running and unlocked in the middle lane, illigally parked, not to mention all the keys to the other cars were just sitting on his front seat. Anyone could have STOLEN any car**The police were called after he had been gone for nearly an hour. My car was found at applebees and big surprise the guy was drinking at the bar. At that point he informed the police that he could legally drive my car for 30miles that it was in my contract. It was not.He than tried to take and rip my contract multiple times. He also demanded that if I wanted my car back I would have to pay the delivery amount. The police were great, I didnt have to pay because he never loaded my car onto his truck and I got my car back no problem. The girl I had been working with was very professional about the entire thing, this was the only reason I allowed them to find me a 2nd trucker. The new guy was fantastic my car was picked up and delivered in 3 days. However he did DAMAGE my car. It was tired down to his truck to tightly and was bent, it will cost me a few hundred to have fixed. But at least I have my car.I chose this shipper because they were supposed to be the best, and partnered with the best. My only problem was with the trucker.They need to look into thier truckers, although my contact was great and very professional, the trucker was anything but. Your empolyees,the people you send out, reflect the business, with todays economy there are plenty of people who want jobs. Hire a trucker who will create future business with you again, not create business for lawyers and police.
