Lawrence,
First we would like to apologize that the carrier did that to your tires, that is unacceptable. If there is a discrepancy from pick up to delivery on the Bill of Lading please let me know, we should have emailed you the insurance already, but if you have not received it please let me know and I will get that to you asap.
As for the dead battery, since Domestic did not know that when you placed your order, the carrier has a right to charge for the vehicle being inoperable. You received your terms and conditions with the order confirmation and the terms state:
7. If you are shipping an inoperable vehicle, you may be required to help load and unload said vehicle at the discretion of the driver. Should vehicle(s) become inoperable during transport, $150.00 will be due at time of delivery in addition to any other moneys owed. It is shipper’s responsibility to make sure vehicle is in proper working order. Problems, such as but not limited to, a dead battery, bad alternator, loose cables, etc that makes the vehicle inoperable during transport will increase the transport price by $150.00.
The carrier only charged you 100, and we are not charging you the additional 150.
Again we do apologize for the tire issue, the vehicle came from the copart, so you will want to check with the copart to see if that damage was there before the carrier was loaded. You were not physically there at time of load but you did see it before the pick update. So perhaps it was damaged at copart, so you will want to check with them. We take pride in our carriers we use, so we will be checking in with this carrier.
