Not A Very Good Experience

Sheila was my representative at the beginning. But later on she left the office. From then on, Sheila never called me and I could not reach her either. No one was assigned as a primary representative.

My case has been difficult as DAT could not find a driver for me at my original price. Sheila increased the quote for about 115 dollars and told me some driver was interested in. I agreed and she said the price would not increase again. Then she was gone somewhere else.

The worse part is that the driver quit later and they said no one was willing to carry my car unless they increase the price again for about 140 dollars. They did not even update it to me. I called them to arrange the pick-up and they told me no driver was available. It was already very close to my leaving date then. If I have more time to get a quote from some other company, I would not choose to use DAT.

I have to be fair enough to say that they seemed work hard on my case, but lack of a primary contact is a big drawback. Also I do not like the way they kept increasing the price even after they told me that the price would not increase. One really bad thing is that they never call you back as promised. This is very annoying and I have to keep calling them inquiring for every single update.

The carrier they contacted is not bad though. I was not there picking up the car and they agreed to store the car somewhere for a couple of days. They delivered the car after I was ready.

While we are sorry there were issues with getting your vehicle transported due to it's difficult location in Connecticut I would like to clear up a few things you said in this review that are mistruths. First I contacted you throughout your transport even after I moved to a different location with in our corporation. I have documentation of all the calls you put through to me and me returning them of which many times you did not pick up. Second when a carrier calls and asks for more money to take a load we call the customer to give them every option available. You have every right to say NO if you do not want to accept a counter offer a carrier makes to take your vehicle. We have no control over a carrier breaking down or deciding to not take your vehicle. I truly wish we did as it would make things on my end so much easier. I apologize you are so unhappy over the service provided to you and I am very happy to hear that the carrier who finally picked it up treated you and your vehicle so well. All my best, Sheila
