This was my first experience hiring a transport company. I had originally contracted with another highly rated company, but the quote they provided was apparently too low to attract a driver to pick up the car. After several weeks of waiting I contracted with DAT. The Customer Service Rep was very helpful in answering my questions honestly and providing a clear explanation of how the process works. Thanks to that CSR and the time he spent educating me I felt much more in control of the process than I had previously.

My only disappointment was the lack of communication by DAT upon pickup of the vehicle and and short notice on the day of delivery of my vehicle. Although my car was picked up on a Friday, I didn't know it was on its way to me until the following Tuesday, and then it was only by accident as I happened to check my credit card statement online and noticed I had been charged a deposit. Upon my calling DAT I was informed that the car was on its way and should arrive two days later. Had I not called I would not have known the car was coming until it had arrived.

On the day the car it arrived the driver contacted me as he was on the way to my home, giving me only 30 minutes of lead time to meet him. Fortunately I was expecting the car that day and had planned to be home the entire day. It did arrive on time and in good condition.

Other than the communication issue, which can probably be attributed to the fact that the CSR that took my order was no longer working at DAT by the time my car was picked up, my experence with DAT was very satisfactory. I would use them again for my auto transportation needs.
