Checking on the internet, $550 was by far the cheapest quote I received (Most were in the $650-$775 range). I contacted this company for an online quote which I received immediately. I contacted them on Nov 30/09 to book, pd a $150 deposit on visa, they advised me by email that a truck was assigned the same day (SK Trucking of Kent, WA), the vehicle was picked up at the time specified, and delivered right down to the exact minute when scheduled on Dec 7/09! We paid the driver the balance of $400 in cash. There were no hidden add-ons (which Direct had confirmed in an email to me as well). The driver was exceptional. He would touch base with us by phone along the way to let us know his progress and reassuring us everything would be okay! As we were driving up from Canada to pick the car up at the border, it was imperative that we know what time he would be arriving. He was in fact there waiting for us when we arrived! His name was Pavel. The car was exactly in same condition as when it left LA. The vehicle was picked up in front of our daughter's apartment building in L.A., she didn't have to meet him anywhere. This whole experience was one of great ease, it was unbelievable after all the horror stories we read about on the internet. I can't say enough good things about Direct and SK Trucking.
