Direct Express Auto Transport

This was my firs time shipping a car, so understandably I was nervous about it. When I called Direct Express they answered all of my questions and were reasonable about it. Unlike some other shippers I talked to who told me they could get my car from PA to FL in 2 days, Direct Express told me about 5-7 days, which is exactly what it took (closer to the 5 day mark.) That other 2-day shipping company told me not to go with a broker because you car could sit around for weeks and not get picked up or the carrier could flake out and never show up etc. Well, after reading bad reviews of the 2-day company, I saw that Direct Express got an excellent grade from the BBB and on other sites. After all of my research I realized most everyone is a broker at some point, like if the cargo company can't/doesn't cover your particular route they will hire it out to another carrier anyway. So I decided to go with DExpress, because they were one of the largest companies, have a good reputation, and seemed reasonable. Plus, because they are a larger company, they have later hours which means I could call them after work and someone was always there to answer the phone. The carrier, Sea-to-Sea Transport based out of OH, were great shippers. They kept in contact with me, and gave me advance notice when they were delayed b/c of other customers who hadn''t been around to pick up their cars, which pushed my delivery day back a day (but it was still on time. Otherwise they would have been early). My car was in great in condition upon arrival, and Susan and Bob were very nice and professional. The price of my transport was $625 total, with $475 going to the shippers. Overall the time from booking to getting my car was within the timeline I had expected, and which I was told it would be done. I was told that my car would be picked up within a week of my earliest date, and it was actually picked up the day after my earliest day. When I asked for the insurance info for the carrier, a customer service rep from Direct Express gladly sent it to me right away via email. Overall, if I had to ship again, would definitely use these guys.
