We shipped the car because my daughter has a clinical assignment in Las Vegas this summer. She is under 25 years old and after many hours of research it became clear that renting a car was going to be ridiculously expensive. That is when I started looking into alternatives.
I would definitely use Auto Transport Direct again. Their rate quotes were definitely competitive (and in some cases lower) than others I received. Even though I live on the east coast and they are located on the west coast, there was no difficulty in contacting them. I contacted them by phone at roughly 7:30am west coast time. Not only did someone answer the phone but they indicated that I could expect to hear from the actually trucker in a few hours. In less than an hour I had been contacted by the trucker and arrangements for pick-up had been made. The car was picked up two days later in Rochester, NY and arrived 6 days after that in Las Vegas, Nevada. The trucker was personable, helpful and reliable. While the car was a bit dirty when it arrived (to be expected from the weather conditions) it otherwise arrived in the same condition it left in.
At every step this was a pleasant experience- from using their website, to the personal phone contact, to their location of an responsible trucker. I have already been telling people about them and will continue to do so.
