I purchased a vehicle off Cars.com from Beverly Hills, CA a couple weeks before Christmas. Based on the positive reviews, I contacted Direct Express Auto Transport to set up transport. They quoted me a price of $900 ($150 for them) and $750 for posted to the nationwide listing for the driver/company actually doing the pick-up and delivery. They said that 90% of the vehicles get picked up within 7 days. I called them two or three times to check on the status...the gal was very personable and helpful. After 7 days, no one had contracted to pick of my SUV. As it was getting close to Christmas and I wanted to get the car by Christmas, I asked the gal what I could do to sweeten the deal in order to get a driver to pick it up. I bumped my offering price up an additional $150 and within 36 hours I had a driver out of Tennessee willing to pick up the vehicle within 48 hours. The SUV was picked up by JMT Transport out of Tennessee and I was in intermittent contact with the driver, Shaun, via his cell phone. He made a few deliveries and pick-ups in route back to KY. I offered to meet him an hour south of my home in order to get the vehicle on Christmas Eve afternoon and he offered to take $50 less, so he could get home by Christmas Eve for dinner with his parents. I met him exactly on time, the vehicle was in the same condition it left CA. He even had pictures of little rock chips, a small dent, etc. that were present when he picked up the vehicle. I gave him his money including the extra $50...it was my Christmas gift to him for getting my car to me by Christmas. He was very grateful, and I was very pleased with the whole process...especially since it was so close to the holidays. Thanks to both Direct Express Auto Transport and also to JMT Autotransport from Tennessee!
